This policy
This policy covers telluri.ai, booking a briefing, the emails we send you, and the Telluri dashboard. It also explains how we handle the public posts our research reads. Questions or requests: business@telluri.ai.
What we collect
When you book a briefing, or send your details without picking a time:
- your name, work email and company, and what you build if you tell us
- your time zone and the time you pick
- how you found us: the page you arrived on, the site that sent you, any campaign tags or referral code in the link, and your country, which our host works out from your connection
To keep out spam and abuse, Cloudflare Turnstile checks your IP address and browser signals when you book, and we limit how many requests one address can make. We don’t store your IP address with your details.
When you use the dashboard: your name and email, the workspace you belong to, the details you enter about your company, and when you last signed in. If your company gives us its own internal data, see “Data your company gives us” below.
We don’t use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- to arrange and hold your briefing, and to prepare your first brief, which can include reading what your company says about itself publicly
- to follow up with you about Telluri; tell us to stop and we will
- to run the dashboard and send you sign-in links
- to keep the site and dashboard secure and working
- to see which channels bring people to us, in total, not person by person
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
If you’re in the EU or UK: we rely on our legitimate interest in answering and following up on a request you made, and on our contract with your company to run the dashboard.
Data your company gives us
To tailor its analysis, a customer may give us some of its own internal data, such as support tickets, sales or call notes, customer feedback, search terms or exports from its CRM. When it does:
- we use it only to tailor that customer’s own analysis and briefs, never anyone else’s, and we don’t sell it or share it with other customers
- we store it securely: encrypted in transit and at rest, kept separate for each customer, and open only to the founders and the systems that run that customer’s analysis
- we keep it for as long as the customer’s contract runs, and delete it when they ask or within 90 days after the contract ends
That data can include information about the customer’s own customers or staff. There, we handle it on our customer’s behalf and under their instructions, and they’re responsible for having the right to share it with us. We can sign a data processing agreement on request. If you think your information reached us this way, contact the company you dealt with, or email us and we’ll help.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run Telluri for us, and only what each one needs:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and our database, sends dashboard sign-in emails, and runs the spam check
- Cal.com schedules the briefing and sends the calendar invite: it receives your name, email, time zone, company and what you build
- Google Workspace carries our own email, including the alert we send ourselves when someone leaves details without booking
We’ll also share information if the law requires it, and if Telluri is ever sold or merged, it would pass to the new owner under this policy. These services may handle data outside your country, including in the US.
Cookies and storage
There’s one cookie, and only if you sign in to the dashboard: it keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and the page’s own scripts can’t read it.
For the length of your visit, the website also remembers in your browser whether you’ve seen the opening animation, and how you arrived (the details above), so they can go with your booking. Nothing is used to follow you around other sites.
How long we keep it
- booking details: while we’re talking with you about Telluri, and we delete them when you ask; we clear out ones we no longer need at least once a year
- dashboard sign-in links expire after 15 minutes (invitations after 3 days), and sessions after 30 days without use
- dashboard accounts, your company’s workspace and any internal data it gave us: for as long as your company is a customer, then deleted within 90 days unless the law requires us to keep something
The public posts we read
Telluri’s research reads public posts, such as those on Reddit and Hacker News, to count and group the problems people are raising. We use them to measure what groups of people are asking for, not to profile individuals, and we don’t try to identify the people behind usernames. We don’t buy private data.
Briefs report counts and summaries in our own words. They don’t quote posts, link to them or name the people who wrote them. If you’d like a post of yours left out of our research, email us where it was posted and we’ll exclude it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop contacting you. Email business@telluri.ai and we’ll answer within 30 days.
If you’re in the EU or UK, you can also object to how we use your information and complain to your data protection authority. Some US states give similar rights, and we honour these requests wherever you live.
Security
Everything travels over encrypted connections. Dashboard sessions, sign-in links and access keys are stored only as one-way hashes, so a copy of our database couldn’t be used to sign in. Only the founders can see the data. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
Children
Telluri is a service for businesses and isn’t meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
When this policy changes we’ll update the date at the top, and we’ll email dashboard customers about any significant change.
